Current Mood:
Confused
The UBC wireless network has been lousy lately. I’m not sure if it’s due to ongoing maintenance or lack thereof, but the connection drops every few minutes.
Oftentimes, I am able to connect to a near-full-strength network and not have any pages load. Other times, the connection varies in strength until it totally drops me. Both the unsecure and secure networks suffer from this.
The funny thing, people around me running W1nd0w$ or M@c05X seem to be fine for a few minutes longer than me, before they too are dropped.
At home or at a cafe, my wireless works perfectly. I wonder if it has something to do with advanced settings for the ath9k driver…another thing to add to the TODO list…
…or maybe wireless just plain sucks out here.

Are you still having UBC Wireless problems? We introduced a whole whack of bug fixes that seemed to have fixed a few problems we were experiencing last year.
Thanks for the feedback.
